Remove a PDF Password You Know
Drop your PDF, enter the password you already know, and get a clean unlocked copy. Processed instantly — no GPU queue, no email required.
When to use this tool
Use this page when you know the password on a PDF and just want to remove it — for easier sharing, archiving, or to combine with other files.
If you forgot the password, use the free PDF password check instead. It runs the first recovery pass at no charge and asks for payment only if recovery works.
How it works
- Your file is uploaded, decrypted with the password you entered, and sent back in the response.
- Only submit a PDF you own or are authorized to decrypt. The file and password are sent to the processing service.
- Works with PDFs encrypted with 40-bit RC4, 128-bit AES and 256-bit AES (revisions 2 to 6).
- The output is a normal unencrypted PDF you can open in any viewer without a password.
